Explosion, Fire Levels Circle Pines Home
An early-afternoon explosion and fire destroyed a Circle Pines home Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to 14 Circle Dr. about 1:15 for a report of an explosion. Responding crews reported a large column of smoke from a distance.
When units arrived, they found the one-story home fully involved. Crews used hoselines to protect exposures and master streams to contain the fire.
The fire was knocked down in about 30 minutes.
Initial reports were that the home was vacant.
Units from Lexington Fire Department, Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View Fire Department and other departments assisted Centennial Firefighters.
Residents Escape North St. Paul Fire
Two residents escaped a house fire in North St. Paul early Friday morning.
The fire, in the 2300 block of Indian Way, started in the rear of the one-story home, according to KSTP.
Firefighters were called to the scene about 2:30 a.m.
