Rollover Accident Shuts Down Highway 10 In Coon Rapids
MAY 17– A three vehicle accident blocked all lanes of Eastbound Highway 10 shutting down traffic in Coon Rapids for about 35 minutes today.
The accident, causing a delivery van to rollover, had traffic backed up past Round Lake Boulevard.
Coon Rapids Engine 1 was first to arrive and determined that there were no injuries and canceled other responding units.
Crews mitigated the leaking automobile fluids hazard and remained on scene until all vehicles were uprighted and removed from the scene.
Breaking: Several Injured After Truck, Bus Collide in Downtown St. Paul
May 4 – St. Paul fire crews were busy Wednesday morning as they responded to a crash involving a bus and pickup truck as a busy downtown St. Paul intersection.
Just after 9 a.m., firefighters and paramedics were called to the crash at 6th and Cedar Streets.
They arrived to find a truck crushed between a Metro Transit bus and the wall of a parking garage. The driver of the pickup was trapped in the vehicle.
Five medic units were called to the scene and more than a half-dozen victims were transported to area hospitals.

Vehicle Drives of Highway 52 Bridge in St. Paul
A female survived an approximately 40 foot fall after her vehicle drove off the Highway 52 (Lafayette) bridge Sunday afternoon.
St. Paul firefighters were called to 5th Street, under the bridge, about 2 p.m.
They arrived to find the Jeep Liberty on its wheels with heavy impact damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle.
They removed the occupant via passenger door.
The man who called 9-1-1 told Twin Cities Fire Wire that he was on his way to plow near the scene when they came across the vehicle. “I couldn’t believe it. She drove right off, right from up there,” as he pointed to an areas that had been visibly disrupted in the high wall of snow along the barrier wall.
He said she had been in the car at least 45 minutes when he found here.
The vehicle went off the bridge in the southbound lane less than 100 feet from the Interstate 94 entrance ramp. Fresh tire tracks could be seen in the snow where the vehicle went off Sunday afternoon.
